History and Club Information

M.A.F.C was established in 1971 and was a founder member of the Farnborough Boys League, now known and respected as the North East Hants Youth League.
When the club was formed it had two teams and true to the club motto "Progress" now boasts 20 League Teams from under 7s to under 17s, plus younger players at under 5s and 6s. The main aim of the club is to provide facilities for boys and girls to develop their sportsmanship in football ability in a friendly environment including parental encouragement and help from wide local area.

The club colours are yellow and black and supplied by the club. The club use pitches rented from Surrey Heath Borough Council with venues at Blackdown Road recreation ground (Deepcut), Frimley Green recreation ground and Frimley Lodge alongside the Basingstoke Canal. Each year teams hold their own presentation evening, sometimes combining other age groups. Trophies are presented for various achievements which are proudly received by both boys and girls alike.
During the clubs existence some players have progressed into Professional football albeit with clubs in the lower leagues. One Player "Kevin Betsey" has made it to the Premiership, when he played for Fulham. Kevin now plays for Barnsley.
Tim Sills pictured left also played for Mytchett Athletic and became the first ever Mytchett Player to play for England (under 20's against Belgium Feb 2003).
Tim now plays for Torquay United.
The club is managed by an executive committee which includes the main officers plus assistants. The executive committee meet twice a month (more if necessary) and there is a full monthly committee meeting attended by all the managers and assistants.
The club have an ongoing association with Argon F.C. Holland, where each year the clubs alternate visits.

Throughout the existence of the club we have won numerous awards and titles at various age groups. M.A.F.C. were proud winners of the Hampshire County Cup in 1988 (Under 10s) and in 1991 (Under 12s).
